Heavy Trash Collection
Same day as trash collection. Limited to no more than two large items at a time.

On each regularly scheduled collection day, Best Trash will collect residential refuse located at the curbside in the provided roll-out carts. Please place cart in the street adjacent to the curb. Residents are restricted to one cart for refuse and are encouraged to confine refuse to the cart, however additional refuse may be placed in containers (between 30- 50 gallons) or bags (not weighing over 40 pounds) and placed next to the Best Trash provided trash cart.
Items excluded from normal collection are dirt, rocks, bricks, concrete, tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, waste generated by a private contractor or any materials or items deemed hazardous materials. Please do not dispose of gasoline, motor oil, paints, cooking oil, or any other liquid items in a container that are not visible to Best Trash personnel. If such items results in spillage that causes a stain, Best Trash is not responsible for the cleanup. Best Trash will leave a tag explaining the reason for any non-collected item(s).
Trees, shrubs, brush trimmings and fencing must be tied and bundled in lengths no greater than 4 feet with no branch diameter exceeding 3 inches. The bundling is required to allow quick pickup and size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the compacting process.
Items such as appliances, furniture, mattresses, carpet (up to 1 room, rolled up four feet wide and less than 40 pounds, bundled and tied), will be picked up on both of your collection days. An enhanced feature of BEST TRASH is special pick up for items excluded by the contract. If notified in advance, Best Trash will meet with you prior to your collection day to determine a price to haul away non-contract items. If you do not notify Best Trash of such a special pick-up before your scheduled collection day, we will leave a notice for you to contact Best Trash during normal office hours to arrange a price and time for the special collection.
Best Trash takes great pride in our recycle program. Ensuring the best recycle program for our customers takes time and effort on both sides. Please remove caps, liquids and food products from inside the containers. Please only use the provided recycle cart for recyclable materials; it is NOT an extra trash container.
Best Trash will collect paper (including cardboard), plastics (1-7), aluminum and tin cans, and glass (all colors) that are placed within the provided recycling cart. If items exceed container capacity, please place them adjacent to the cart well marked as recyclable materials. Cardboard is recyclable, please break down all boxes flat and place them next to the recycle cart for collection. If you find items left in your cart, it means they are not recyclable. Please dispose of these items in your trash container for the next scheduled pick up.
Best Trash will provide each current residence with one recycling cart and one trash cart. Best Trash will replace any carts that are defective or otherwise become unusable due to normal wear and tear. Lost or stolen trash carts can be replaced at $75.00 each, recycling carts, $20.00, by calling Best Trash.
In the event that your service day falls on a holiday, collection will roll to the next regularly scheduled collection day.
Best Trash reserves the right to add, delete or change holidays; and will notify residents of any such alteration to the holidays at least thirty (30) days in advance.

For the health and safety of our residents and crews, our priority is the putrescible residential waste. We will continue the collection of tied and bundled crepe myrtles, bags of grass and leaves not weighing more than 40 lbs., but with the temporary limitation of up to 3 bags per household at this time. With the high volume of yard waste, it is not possible for our crews to collect everything at every house and still make it to the landfill before it closes. We always strive to go above and beyond, but due to the current conditions, it is not possible at this time. Please be patient with us during this time while crews are working very hard to get caught up.
Best Trash contracts are for normal amounts of residential waste and recycling collection. Our contracts do not include debris removal as a result of a natural disaster. FEMA has declared the winter storm we just experienced a natural disaster. Therefore, the debris generated due to this disaster is not covered under the terms of the contracts. This would include debris removal from inside of the house as a result of flooding from broken pipes. Additionally, any landscaping removed as a result of the freeze and any landscape demolition debris would also be excluded. Past disasters including hurricanes and flood debris removal has been covered by FEMA. A few options to dispose of debris is mentioned below.

Simple Recycling provides residents with a free, convenient way to dispose of unwanted clothing and other goods and protect the environment.
Although collection was suspended during the pandemic, it has resumed with a few key differences.
Residents no longer have to wait for their scheduled recycle day to put their unwanted clothing and household goods out for pickup.
Pickups must be scheduled online at www.SimpleRecycling.com or call 866-835-5068. A reminder email will be sent the day before the scheduled pickup.
Residents no longer need to use the dedicated orange Simple Recycling bags for collection. Items can be placed in any waterproof bag(s) or box(es), clearly marked Simple Recycling.
With pickup no longer tied to a resident’s recycling day, the placement of items for pickup has changed as well. Clearly marked waterproof bag(s) or box(es) can be placed on the front porch or in front of the garage door by 7:30 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day.
Residents can set out items such as clothing, shoes, accessories, and other household discards such as kitchenware, tools, toys, and books or other small household goods in working condition.
