Cinco Municipal Utility District No. 6

Stage 1 – Mild Drought

As of June 1, 2022, the District has entered the “Mild Drought” stage of the Master Districts’ Drought Contingency Plan:

  • Voluntarily limit the irrigation of landscaped areas to Sundays and Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8), and Saturdays and Wednesdays for customers with a street address ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9), and to irrigate landscapes only between the hours of midnight and 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and midnight on such designated water days.

Dear Residents:

The North Fort Bend Water Authority (NFBWA) has requested that all Munipical Utility Districts within it’s boundaries voluntarily reduce their water usage.

Residents and other users are asked to limit the irrigation of landscaped areas as follows:

  • Even-numbered addresses irrigate on Sundays and Thursdays between the hours of midnight and 10:00am and 8:00pm and midnight.
  • Odd-numbered addresses irrigate on Saturdays and Wednesday between the hours of midnight and 10:00am and 8:00pm and midnight.

It is important that everyone do their part to reduce the use of water during peak demand. The bulk of water consumption in most communities is for irrigation and other outdoor uses. Please ensure that your irrigation systems are leak free.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
