Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate – October 17, 2024

The Cinco Municipal Utility District No. 6 has announced a public hearing regarding the tax rate for the tax year 2024. This session is scheduled for October 17, 2024, at 11:30 AM. It will take place at 3200 Southwest Frwy., Suite 2600, Houston, Texas 77027.

Tax Rate Analysis

The proposed tax rate remains unchanged from the previous year at $0.280 per $100 of property value.

Despite the consistent rate, changes in property appraisals have led to a slight increase in the taxes an average residence homestead will owe. The annual tax for the average residence, based on an increased appraised value from $422,987 to $454,721, will see an increase of $88.86 or 7.502786% from last year.

This means that while the tax rate per $100 of value remains static, the increased appraisal values contribute to a higher tax burden for property owners.

Additional Information
